Gallery Tour: Mary, the Winter Rose

Saturday, December 11. The Tour will be given twice: 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm
Free with admission

Mary is often known as the rose without thorns, a nod to her immaculate conception, and during the Middle Ages, the rose became symbolic for the Mother of God. Join registrar Laura Garrity-Arquitt for a tour of the Museum’s Mother of God icons, exploring their stories and the symbolism surrounding her iconography.
