Start with a moderate warm-up, then learn the basics of the East Slavic folk dance chorovod. Chorovod is one of the oldest folk dances and was performed at festivals and during pagan rituals. It is a type of circle dancing, where women stand in a circle and move from East to West, symbolizing the Sun moving across the sky. No experience required.
Yana Veselova was born in Novosibirsk, Russia, and graduated from the Russian Academy of Business and from the Novosibirsk College of Culture and Arts with a degree in choreography. A teacher of folk and ballet dance, Yana has been dancing and teaching for over 25 years.
