Try your hand at making an eye—an “evil eye” talisman, that is! Many cultures around the world (including Greek culture, represented by our Hellenic icons exhibition) believe that a person can be cursed if someone looks at them with an “evil eye,” so many types of folk art objects are created as protection. You don’t have to believe in the “evil eye” to have fun making a piece of art that you can say, “EYE made myself!”

There will be no posidelki this month. Our Russian Cultural Liaison, Mila Subbotina, is in Russia. Stay tuned for details of the October posidelki.
