A powerful French film set in the late Soviet era about dissidents and refuseniks–Jews harassed by the state for wanting to emigrate–and two young French people who go behind the Iron Curtain to try to help. They discover an unknown world, brutal and absurd, and quickly realize they are in over their heads with this clandestine and dangerous mission.

Ariana Cohen-Halberstam, Artistic Director of the Boston Jewish Film Festival, will be present to introduce the film and lead a discussion.

Please note that program fees are non-refundable.
