The Museum works extensively with K-12 students and teachers. Most programs begin with a 45-minute tour of the collection that covers the history, function, and symbolism of icons. Additional activities such as art projects and gallery guides can be provided as well, depending on time and curriculum goals. The Museum staff looks forward to working with educators to tailor the experience for their students. Below are three examples of the types of activities the Museum can provide for K-12 audiences. These lesson plans, one each for elementary, middle, and high school, show the scope of the topics and subjects that can be introduced on a Museum visit.
