About the Museum of Russian Icons

The Museum of Russian Icons as a 501-(c)3 non-profit educational museum founded by Gordon Lankton. Through his travels to Russia during the late eighties, Mr. Lankton became fascinated with the history of icons. Since then he has made over forty trips to the former Soviet Union and developed a collection of over two hundred icons from the fifteenth to the late twentieth century. The Museum of Russian Icons is the institutional home of his collection.
